Six departments make up the business. Each page shows the purpose, the people, the measures that matter and the systems the team works in.
Forest Operations
Plans and supervises everything that happens in the forest: harvest planning, roading, landings, mechanised and manual felling, log loading and haulage, silviculture, regeneration and bushfire readiness across the plantation estate and the native forest allocation.
Sawmill and Drying
Runs the log yard, green mill, kilns and dry mill at Heyfield to turn graded logs into stress-graded structural timber and appearance product, on two shifts, with a focus on recovery, grade accuracy and safe machine operation.
Saw Shop and Maintenance
Keeps every blade, cutter head, guide and sawing machine in tolerance so the mill cuts straight, safely and with maximum recovery, and provides saw sharpening and reconditioning services to external customers.
Timber Merchandising and Despatch
Stocks and sells the mill's product and bought-in lines to frame and truss plants, builders, fencing contractors and merchants from Dandenong South, preparing take-offs and quotes, picking and packing orders and despatching by company truck.
Safety, Environment and Certification
Owns the integrated management system: safety and environmental procedures, incident investigation, forest management and chain of custody certification, internal audits, cultural heritage protection and community and regulator liaison across all three sites.
Corporate Services
Provides finance, payroll, human resources, purchasing, information technology and administration to every site, and holds the contractor agreements, insurance and statutory reporting that keep the business trading.
